Caritas Kampala is the social service and charitable arm of the Catholic Church in Kampala, Uganda. We provide humanitarian aid, social services, and development programs to improve the lives of vulnerable communities.We have a network of pastoral agents in the 75 parishes of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kampala which is comprised of Kampala, Wakiso and Butambala civic districts.
The Charity Office operates under Caritas Kampala and coordinates practical charitable support for vulnerable individuals, families, and communities across Kampala Archdiocese.
Our services are open to all vulnerable and marginalized groups, including orphans, the elderly, persons with disabilities, refugees, and communities affected by disasters, regardless of faith, sex, gender, nationality or tribe.
We provide food assistance, healthcare support, education programs, shelter for the homeless, disaster relief, and empowerment initiatives for marginalized groups.
Safeguarding is an important part of our work. The Charity Office follows child safeguarding procedures under Caritas Kampala and promotes safe reporting, staff and volunteer awareness, appropriate screening, and responsible handling of concerns involving children and vulnerable people.
